Anthony Grey 1725

I'd be most grateful if someone could look up  an Anthony Grey 1725 who married Jane.  I'm not sure whereabouts he was born or where the marriage took place other than it was Northumberland.

Can you tell us what led you to Anthony and Jane? How do you know the marriage took place in Northumberland?

Anthony/Edward 1779

Hi Rootschatters,

Sorry for not answering sooner...
The only child I know of is Anthony Gray who married Jane Spoors in 8th May 1771.  I'm linked to Ancestry and they automatically downloaded another Anthony Gray born in 1725, Northumberland who married a Jane.  I can't be 100% sure that he was born or married in Northumberland but I assumed that he would have been, as they had been there for several generations.  I'm now wondering whether it could be somewhere else.

Have you located Anthony and Janes burials in case they give an age at death. We really need to locate this Anthonys birth before jumping back to look for his father

I can't see a burial in Earsdon for Anthony. Did any of their children move to Long Benton as he could have gone with them

If the Anthony who married Jane Spoors was born 1725 he would be age 46 when married.
So you may be missing a generation there.
Unless he was widowed which the 1771 Marriage gives no indication of.

There is a Anthony christened Cramlington 20 Oct 1745 to THOMAS/ELIZABETH
He has siblings;
Ann 1732
Ralph 1734
John 1738
Thomas 1739
Edward 1744
Elizabeth 1748

Given the names of siblings looks like a better match for Anthony who married Jane Spoors to me.

Also Anthony/Jane name a Son Thomas twice so a important name to them.
