Fullex in Sussex

I need help to find the marriage of James Fullex (Fullicks,Fullix) and Elizabeth. They had two daughter born in Worth ,Sussex

Mary b.1798
Elizabeth b.1803


Also looking for a baptism of Sarah Illman Born about 1758 died 1829 in Worth Sussex and baptism for Mary Ealman born about 1732 died 1821 West Hoathly,Sussex. Mary married Robert Langridge 31 May 1752 Fleet Prison,London . Wonder if she is from the London area or also like her husband from Sussex ?

Looking at the original, it could be Fullex, though probably not (BT definitely Fuller)

Hi John ,

I think James Fuller and Elizabeth Mardin are the people i‘m looking for . But I don’t know which surname is correct Fuller or Fullex(Fullicks) ? There is a baptism in Worth for James Fuller s/o James and Mary in 1774 and one in Worth for James Fullicks s/o George and Mary 1769. Strange is that there is a Elizabeth Fuller born 20th December 1802 in Worth christening on the 16th of January 1803 and also a Elizabeth Fullex with the same date christened 16 January 1803 in Worth both parents James and Elizabeth so I think both the same person . When Elizabeth married Edward Smith 1826 in Brighton her name was also written as Fullix .

It's certainly a knotty problem.
As to Elizabeth baptized in 1803, on the BT the names looks like Fullex (image 624, from previous BT link for James)
Edward Smith was a widower when he married Elizabeth in Brighton

Just to confuse things, in the census Elizabeth Smith in Worth says that she was born in Burstow, Surrey. Although it looks like it's next door to Worth.

Transcribed as Fuller on ancestry, but it looks like Fullex to me. So they might be possibles.

So that 1769 baptism of James Fullicks looks quite promising.

Elizabeth seems to be in Worth in 1851, with married daughter Mary?
And there is a death of an Elizabeth Fullex in East Grinstead in Dec 1853, age 85
Burial at Worth, 4 Dec 1853, age 84. That's on image 684

So the John who died 1843 would fit with the 1769 baptism so the surname is more likely Fullex (Fullicks) than Fuller .


All a little bit confusing! 


Now I have time to write down all new information and to continue my search .
