Kinne family Saxony Germany
« on: Saturday 07 July 18 18:00 BST (UK) »
Hello everyone ,

I‘m living in New Zealand and I‘m looking for my ancestors from Saxony with the surname Kinne.

My Greatgrandfather  was Herbert Rudi Kinne born  9.12.1901 in Anger-Crottendorf ,Leipzig,Saxony . He died 07.12.1933 in Berlin,Germany .
His parents are Otto and Sally Kinne . I’m looking for the marriage of Otto and Sally in Saxony and their birthplaces and parents . They never immigrated and died sometime in Germany.I hope you can help me because this side of my family is completely unknown to me . I don’t know where to look after records in Saxony genealogy in Germany is new for me .
I appreciate any help

Welcome to rootschat, Moses.

Where did you get the information about his birth and parents from?

You might want to ask a moderator to move this to the European countries board (or it might happen anyway) as I tried a simple search on Ancestry and got nowhere.

There's always the Anglo-German Family History Society?
www.agfhs.org
or Family Search?
www.familysearch.org

As far as I know, there are no national German datasets anywhere.
You have to apply to the relevant authorities in Germany.
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

In 1883 the two villages of Anger and Crottendorf came together to form Anger-Crottendorf, but in 1889 Anger-Crottendorf was absorbed into Leipzig. You may have to write to Leipzig to get a copy of his birth record.
