Hello again all, looking to try and find out some more on who my great great grandmother is?

Her madden name was Catherine McFarlane she married Edward (Einar) Steensohn in Anderston in 1907. This is where we draw a blank.

As for the Steensohn side the amazing people I. Norway jeep the most impeccable records and are happy to share there info for free!!! It took me the best part of an hour to locate the family line then in 1 hour I had every line dating back to the 1600’s with almost accurate accounts of significant dates in there life’s and where the lived emigrated to worked as ! Amazing the Scottish English and Irish side however well there just complete mine fields of miss information dead end roads and endless sums of money

The only place for Scottish records you can locate the marriage with the details you give

This site is pay per view but very modestly priced on Scottish marriage certificates you will find the ages and parents names including mothers maiden name You can then find a birth certificate which will give you the date of the parents marriage and you can work your way back

Although unfortunately our records only give this information from 1855 Before that it is the parish records where the information varies from date name of the child and fathers name to both parents names and names of witnesses

A marriage certificate will give you her parents names ..there is also a death for a Catherine
Steenshohn (different spelling ) other name McFarlane died 1926 age 39 Anderson Lanarkshire

On her husband's death  record  at sea 24/4/1940 his next of kin was his daughter
His address was given as 12,,Whitehall Street Glasgow ...

I see they had a daughter Helen Lavell Steensohn 1908 there is a good chance she was named after her mother going by another daughter being named after her husband's mother

Rosie ! You are amazing thank you so much! Yes Helen Lovell Steensohn is my great grandmothers sister I never thought to look for the name sake in the records I just have so many names, I decided to try do this line after having a break from my tree and I haven’t had much time to look ! Iv had so many positive mails and leads on the other sides of the family’s iv been filling in lots of blanks! Also wile moving my tree from familyecho to ancestry. I never make life easy 😂 you guys are amazing help as always
