I can see really old posts about this but no answers so sorry got resurrecting the topic

Looking for parents of Robert Tate 1757-1826, born Shilbottle, Northumberland married Elizabeth Hunter in 1783 and long shot but his grandparents if possible, ive hit a brickwall on this line

John Tate of Shilbottle,will of  1752, his will mentions a Robert Tate as a son and heir perhaps you may like to read it,yourself,a little early for your Robert but it may lead to some other clue

The robert tate mentioned in will was robert tate 1791-1826 and was his son but thankyou
