Which man is which?
« on: Tuesday 10 July 18 15:11 BST (UK) »
I found a photo labeled "Dad" in my grandmother's handwriting.  The problem is she referred to her own father and her father in law both as Dad so I'm not sure which "Dad"  it is.  Can anyone help?   Trying to identify the man on the left in this first photo.  Below that I will post two other photos.  The man is definitely one of those two, but which?  Just to make it less confusing.....The second photo is Otis, the third photo is Winfield.  So is the first man on left Otis or Winfield?

I'm not sure what you mean by "seeing all of it"  Pics 1 and 2 are mine and that is the whole picture.  If you're talking about 3 I found that one on Ancestry and wasn't aware it was cut down.....if that's what you're implying.  I want so badly to find more photos of him, but haven't yet.
Based on the years you are estimating if that is Otis it would make him around 20-23 years old and I'd say that's probably right by the looks of him wouldn't you? (pic 1 I mean)  If it were Winfield (the 3rd picture) then he's be roughly 36-39.  I'm terrible at guessing ages, but that seems a bit old to me so I'm thinking you are right and mystery man in one is Otis.

I was leaning toward Otis as well and seeing them side by side like that really makes me think it's Otis for sure.  Thank you!

My vote is for Otis too. The only real difference I see in the pictures is that Otis has a slightly narrower jaw (and mouth) than Winfield.
