Payton of Abingdon
« on: Wednesday 11 July 18 13:23 BST (UK) »
Would there be anyone who is researching the family of Thomas Payton (b) 1742 and Theodora Williams (b) 1743 of Abingdon, Berkshire ?
As I would like some background information on their son John Payton (b) 1770.
If the birth date is correct, was he christened on the 15th April, 1770 at St. Helens, Abingdon, Berkshire ?

Hi Cider,

According to the transcripts for Abingdon St.Helens (Ex OxfordFHS), John Payton was baptised 15-4-1770 s/o Thomas & Theodora, Barber.

Thomas married Theodora Williams 14-3-1769 in St.Helens.
