So you are saying that Frank wasn't the son of Mr and Mrs A LEVITT whose son Frank's birth was registered in the District of Williams in 1918. I note that there were three other chn all named on the headstones of Alexander and Fanny and  whose births were registered in the District of Williams.

In 1917 John and Agnes Annie were living at Doodlakine the electoral sub division of Northam so I wonder why Frank's birth in 1918 would be registered in the registration district of Williams c200 kms south, where Alexander and Fanny were enrolled to vote.

Do you have either John and Annie Agnes' death certificates?  Children both living and deceased should be named on their certs.

Cando, I think Frank was their son but just wanted to confirm it. An article on Trove has Annie claiming maintenance from her husband in August 1921.

Thanks for suggesting the death certificates - I hadn't thought of that.

John George LEVITT was overseas during 1916, 1917, 1918 and 1919 according to his WW1 service file.  Very much doubt he was the father

Agnes and brother in law, Jack LEVITT [On Active service] mentioned in this notice for her brother  William REEVE in 1918.

Great finds, Cando, that definitely rules out her husband as the father of Frank. I noticed he wasn't mentioned as a nephew. I wonder if it was because he wasn't born yet (the notice is October 1918) or ….

I'm a bit lost here....why would Frank be mentioned as a nephew of Wm REEVE?  John George could not have possibly been his father.   It would appear they only  had two boys

Appears another researcher has the same information.  Only two sons.

Aha, so Frank does belong to another couple. Frank's death notice says "the dearly beloved son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Levitt of Mundijong". I think I can safely eliminate him from the family story. :-)

Many thanks!

Jang I don't mind helping anyone with their research but what annoys me is when people modify their posts and remove information.  You have heavily modified your reply#8 which originally included the names John and Annie LEVITT  You mentioned that Mr and Mrs A LEVITT in the death notice were John and Annie.  My reply#9 looks so silly now.

How would I know how to search the electoral rolls and other databases for a John and Annie [Agnes] LEVITT if you hadn't mentioned them?

Feeling very cross as you now make my research look silly >:( >:(.
