It says in this 600+ page Biographical Dictionary of British Quakers that Henry CASSON (1769? - 1826) Miller, Tanner, was son of Mordecai Casson (1745 - 1822). Henry CASSON married in 1795 Elizabeth HORD (1769? - 1809). He was a Tanner, in Hull.

Did Henry or Elizabeth CASSON (nee HORD) leave a Will?

Mark

In the 1826 Will of Henry Casson of the Lordship of Myton within the Parish called Holy Trinity of the Town and County of the Town of Kingston upon Hull, Yeoman, his then Wife was Isabel (she had Estates when they married).

Henry Casson's Brother was Mordecai Casson of Thorne, Co. of York, Draper and Grocer.

Henry's Friend was Joseph Priestman of Malton, Tanner.

Mordecai Casson of Sculcoates, Tanner.

Two Mordecai Cassons make and sign the affirmation with Priestman (Affirmation allowable as they are Quakers) one signs Mordi Casson and the other Mord H Casson.

Throughout the Will, Henry just refers to both as Mordecai Casson (like the name was repeated), but one must be Modecai Hord Casson.

Mordecai Hord Casson must be the Son of Henry Casson by his previous (deceased) Wife Elizabeth HORD.

Henry Casson mentions both Freehold and Copyhold premises including a Tan Yard.

Sons were:- Benjamin Casson; Henry Casson & Mordecai Casson.
Daughters were:- Elizabeth Casson and Hannah Casson.
