Ratcliffe Highway
« on: Saturday 14 July 18 19:07 BST (UK) »
Does anyone know if there are directories for the Ratcliffe Highway for the years of 1812 - 1838 ?

If so where are they held ?

Also where is the Ratcliffe Highway on an old map?

Thanks in advance ?

Ratcliffe Highway is now known as The Highway, and is in the East End of London.

I don’t know about the directories - but Ratcliffe Highway is known as just The Highway now.

It runs by (to the south) of St.George in the East church.

I am Zoe Northeast, granddaughter of Maximilian Double.

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,

I'm sure the original directories are at TNA, and probably at London Metropolitan Archives.
I have copies of 1815, 1822, 1825, 1830.
If a look-up will help, just PM a name/occupation.
Almeroth, Germany (probably Hessen). Mawer, Softley, Johnson, Lancaster, Tatum, Bucknall (E.Yorks, Nfk, Lincs)
