Help to find a divorce... Sarah Ann Brignall

Hello

could anyone help me find evidence of a divorce between Sarah Ann Brignall nee Pearce / Russell* 1887 - 1966

and Andrew Brignall 1886 - 1969 

divorce about 1918 in Guisborough Yorkshire area.

The National Archives hold divorce records for England and Wales but the surname not showing on a search.

How certain are you about a divorce? There is a possible matching couple in 1939.

I have at some time seen the divorce record but it was early on in my family history search and i didn't note the source. Andrew went on to marry again, and married another Sarah, which it is why it looks like they were still married.

I have to say Im baffled why I can not find the source again now. immensely frustrating.

It’s in the newspaper

12 May 1921 - Newcastle Daily Chronicle - Newcastle-upon-Tyne,

He found a cuff link that wasn’t his in their bed!
