Thanks gaffy. So this was a prosecution against Mr. Ryan?  Only asking, as there may be court records to reveal more information & could of course involve my 1911 boy who worked there.  Which newspaper was this from or better still, do you have a link?  VB

Yes, Edward Ryan was the defendant, Margaret Ryan was the Corporation Food Inspector for the prosecution, the case was held before Mr Swifte in the Southern Divisional Police Court (Dublin Evening Mail of 19 April 1901).
