James Patrick Ross

Hi All

Greetings from Australia.

I was wondering if anyone can help me with the date James Patrick Ross Snr (1715-1788) arrived in the USA from Ireland.

James was born in Antrim, Ireland and died North Carolina.

I'll take a quick look around but be forewarned, shipping records in that time period are almost nonexistant.

Any information would be most appreciated, if the records don't exist then that's my bad luck. I think the date would be somewhere around 1740.

I have seen the memorial. Nobody has recorded an arrival date so as you suggest the record is probable non existant.
Please do not waste too much of your time, I will assume he arrived c1740.

Maybe a bit after 1740.  The son, Henry, was supposedly born in Ireland in 1744.
