Absent Voter's Roll (1918)
« on: Sunday 15 July 18 20:28 BST (UK) »
Hello,

Can anyone find the following servicemen on this electoral roll:

Alexander G. McGregor, was living in Hornsey, Middlesex in 1911
Arthur, Charles and Frank Thorogood, living in Shalford in 1911

I'd appreciate any help!

Adam

McGregor family of Fodderty - ends with Alexander McGregor (b. 1765, Fodderty), son of Murdoch McGregor and Kate Stewart

Absent Voters Lists tend to be with the relevant local authority, library or archive.
I've never seen one online?
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

Actually, they were 1918 and 1919 rolls that stated that the person was an absent naval or military voter.

Ancestry has some, but, like all records, it's hit and miss if you're lucky enough that your area of interest is included.
