Ickenham burials
« on: Sunday 15 July 18 21:57 BST (UK) »
Hello,

Looking for James Winch, who died in Ickenham in 1840, and Sarah, who died there in 1886. I don't have a marriage record for them either, but I do have the year and place of christening for James (although not the exact date or details of family). Sarah was from Hayes, born around 1796. James was born in Harefield in 1800.

I'd appreciate any help!

Thanks! Due to James' premature death, they never appeared together. But children included Caroline, Eliza, George, James and others.

In addition to this, I'm also looking for the marriage, burials and christenings prior to marriage of James and Margaret Winch, who were christening children in Harefield from 1798 onwards.

Having woken up a bit and fired up my computer, here are the known children of James and Sarah Winch:

George Winch, born c. 1832, Ickenham
Harriet Norman (niece to Sarah), born c. 1831, Denham, Bucks
Lipman family of Aldgate - ends with Lewis Lipman (d. 1871, Bethnal Green), son of John Lipman 'late of Glasgow' (1856)
McGregor family of Fodderty - ends with Alexander McGregor (b. 1765, Fodderty), son of Murdoch McGregor and Kate Stewart

So I'm looking for:

The marriage of James and Sarah Winch, most likely in the 1820s in Middlesex (and Sarah's origins)
The marriage and origins and burials of James and Margaret Winch, who were christening children in Harefield in the 1800s
Burial for Jane Mead, died in Harlesden in 1837

McGregor family of Fodderty - ends with Alexander McGregor (b. 1765, Fodderty), son of Murdoch McGregor and Kate Stewart

Hi again Adam,
The only marriage I can see that is anywhere close is between James Winch and Sarah Salter (transcribed as Satler but looks more like Salter) at St George Hanover Square, Westminster on 21 May 1826. I haven't tried looking for the other couple but Jane Mead seems to have been buried on 7 May 1837 at St Mary, Willesden, Brent (recorded abode Harlesden Green), age 35.
