Salter christening in Hayes
« on: Monday 16 July 18 15:23 BST (UK) »
Hello,

Can anyone find a Sarah Salter, christened in around 1796 in Hayes?

I'd appreciate any help!

Not in Hayes I'm afraid - Wiltshire and Suffolk each have one in 1796!

I'm looking for James Winch's wife Sarah (and their wedding), who was born around 1796 in Hayes allegedly. She had a niece, named Harriet Norman, born in Denham in 1831. I don't know the exact connection.

Harriet Winch married George Norman in Ickenham in 1851 :( so not a blood relative, related to her husband.

Yes, that's the marriage I was working off  :-\ however there's no christening for Sarah by that surname in the place she insisted on being born in on 4 censuses.

Maybe she had been married before and Salter isn't her birth name.  I can't see that it says spinster or widow on the marriage like it sometimes does  :-\
