The surname is Sgroj. Online references (Geneanet) suggest that the name originates in Reggio Calabria and this particular spelling is found in Sicily.

The child is Josepha, not Josephine, born and baptised on 21 December 1879 to parents Salvatore Sgroj and his wife Maria Costanzo. Godparents were Cristoforo Sgroj and his sister Serafina.
