hope some one can help me im looking for any info regarding henry harris born in birmingham 1866 he was in warwickshire regiment number 5323  he died in ww1 1917

5323 H Harris 9th Bat Royal Warwickshire Regiment  K.I.A 25/1/1917 Mesopotamia.

The Henry Harris who died in 1917 with Service No. 5323 was aged 32, therefore born 1885.

Service record has not survived unfortunately but some additional snippets from medal records and Effects Register:

Volunteered for service in September 1914.  Went overseas on 13 July 1915 with 9th Battalion Warwicks to Gallipoli, then on to Mesopotamia after that campaign December 1916.  Date of death suggest he lost his life in the Battle of Kut al Amara which took place Dec 1916- Feb 1917.  Left his effects and gratuity to his widow Agnes.  1914/1915 Star, British War and Victory Medals.
