Hi everyone,
I’m looking for the birth of my great grandfather Walter Crowhurst. He married Jessie Elliot on 27th Dec 1909 in Northfleet. Going by his age he would have been born about 1885 and his father is named as Richard Crowhurst a blacksmith. One of the witnesses was an Elizabeth Crowhurst.
I have been unable to find any evidence of his birth or see him on any census returns. There is a Walter James Crowhurst born 1885 in Gravesend but his father wasn’t Richard and he married a different woman.
I’ve also looked to see if any Richard crowhursts had any sons but nothing or any Elizabeth’s (mother or sister) to no avail.
Any assistance would be greatfully received as this is a big brick wall in my tree.
