What became of Sarah STARBUCK bap 1852 Grantham, Lincolnshire
« on: Wednesday 18 July 18 10:13 BST (UK) »
Will post this post also on the Linconlnshire board. http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=796980.new#new

Sarah STARBUCK  daughter of Jane STARBUCK  was baptised in 1852 in Grantham, Lincolnshire.

Sarah's mother Jane [it is said] (baptised 1826 Hersham, Leicestershire) married John HAND  although to date I am unable to find the marriage. In the 1861 census the family were living with Sarah's grandfather William STARBUCK a widower at Bottesford, Grantham, Leicestershire.

From that point I  lose track of Sarah and am hoping for some assistance to locate her.

UPDATE
In the 1871 census Sarah is living with her mother and husband Jane & John HAND at  Eston, Yorkshire RG10/4854/29 p 51

Sarah is listed as a widow aged 21 years with a surname that looks like GRABHAMalthough I am unable to locate a marriage for her.

Sarah Starbrook married George William Grabham in Guisborough District Q2 1868.

Possible marriage in 1871 to William Kershaw or George Hawkins in Guisborough District.

Going by the GRO birth index, William Kershaw married Jane Ovington and so Sarah Grabham married George Hawkins but I can't find any further record of them.

Just to confirm the marriage:-

Daily Gazette for Middlesbrough 13 June 1871
Hawkins-Grabham. - At the Register Office, Guisborough, on the 10th inst., Mr George Hawkins, miner of Eston, to Miss (?) Sarah Grabham, of South Eston.

Still no sign of them.

Eston would be Ironstone Mining, but all I've found so far are these references (Friends of Teesside Archives):
