Hello all I have been looking for Anne's death or something? for years not on census for 1871.
Widow by then Samuel Dowley husband died 1867 he was always in trouble for being drunk
and causing problems.
He is buried All Saints Wellington was living at Wright court Walker street.
They were my great great grand parents,children turn up at grandmothers house census 1881
in Shifnal under the name of Dudley? Samuel age 20,Ann age 16 my great grand mother Elizabeth
age 14 other child John missing.
Grandmother Elizabeth Buttery abt 1817 east indies(British subject)living Priorslee.
I have checked burials Red Lake and Wellington no luck.
Also marriages no luck.
I am also missing death of Ann,s father William casewell 1809 died abt 1845 as wife remarried
first Moore then Buttery.
He was a collier i have also checked mining accidents and deaths no luck.
Sister Martha Casewell born 1845 so death abt then.
If any one out there can solve this you are about to become a genius.

It's possible she thought Samuel Moore was her father, or named him as he was the only one she knew.

Hello amondg thank you for you time and trouble in trying to sort out my puzzle.
I have always had a slight doubt that William was the girls father.
However a cousin has Anne,s sister Martha,s birth cert William is on there.
The only reg for a William Casewell death seems to be 1842?.
The birth cert does not  say whether he is deceased or not as far as i am aware.
Do you find Shropshire archives missing bits?.
Any help or suggestions would be gratefully received.
