Hi

WELCOME to Rootschat !

You should research Thomas A Bennett b1914 ( 5 Aug ) [ mother's maiden name is DUKE ]

He is/was staying with Ambrose Goslin.

Can you please confirm if your grandmother is the Florence Louise Duke born in 1881 in Shoreditch, married Bennett. She is living with two daughters in 1939, one of whom later married Bown. Florence L Bennett death in 1948.
Is it the Bown line specifically that you are researching or the wider family.

Florence b1881 has a mmn of "DUCK" possibly a mistranscription of "DUKE" ?

Looks like it may actually be Duck. Richard Duke married Sarah Duck in 1867 in Hackney. Richard and Sarah have a daughter Florence L of the right age in the 1891 census.

Hi,
Yes this is spot on!
At the moment it is the Bown line I’m tracing, Florence had 5 children in total 3 boys 2 girls, the girl that married a Bown is my Mother.
My plan is to follow as far as possible then to come back to my Mothers line.
I would like to say thank you to everyone who has helped so far you have been a god send.
I have signed to Find my past and slowly building a tree
New to family research, hoping to learn a bit more
Looking for
Bown
