Boo, regarding post 3 - if you ever need a look up for a North Tyneside burial just let me know - if you have the rough date and know area where they lived it shouldn't be too difficult for me to find for you for FREE! ;D

Thank you RTL, I do have someone else who has offered though so will wait to see what that turns up.
So far no notice in local papers to give me a clue (though there is a very informative obit for the man in the Shetland Papers).

Boo

Okay, I happen to be at this library now (North Shields) so could have looked up for you immediately.  However, I understand that you have already got someone else on the job.

I believe I have found both the people you are after in the huge tomes at the library, Boo.  I am now going to look up full details on microfilm and will send likewise by pm within the next several minutes. :)

Hopefully, you will have both records now Boo! :)

I would have put on here but thought these must have been private as you sent by pm.  I am now off to a party but feel free to share of you wish. :)

Hi Boo,
Hopefully, you will find this a nice surprise. :)
I nipped along to the Whitley Bay Cemetery today after Church as I had a bit of time.  It was easy to find John's grave in section G - he has the biggest gravestone in the section!

The grave is in the first row.  I have taken several photos (with my Kindle) for you if you wish to have these.  Perhaps you could send your email by pm?  I totally understand if you don't wish to give this out, however, so don't feel obliged.  If you do want the photos I will send tomorrow when I next get time to go on-line. :)

This is the inscription:

'H

LOVING MEMORY OF
JOHN PERCY
THE DEVOTED AND DEARLY LOVED
HUSBAND OF
JANE GRACE HENDERSON
DIED NOVEMBER 16, 1938
