Florence moss b1888 mystery?

Hi all
I have found a Florence Oates d1934 march qtr burton upon trent I wonder could this be my gr grandmother who I've been searching for I cannot find any other info on this Florence.
But my gr grandmother was Florence moss b1888 in Loughborough she m Alfred e bullock and they had 1 child in 1910 she is on the 1911 census but she disappeared around 1912 .
I carnt seem to find a marriage entry for Florence Oates or where she was born all I've seem to have found is that she was born in 1888,
Also Alfred re-married in 1934 July qtr

Any help would be truely appreciated

Have you checked freebmd for an Oates marriage to a Florence?

Does the 1934 marriage cert show Alfred as a widower

Yes Alfred classed himself as a widow also checked free bmd for marriage for Florence but couldn't find one just the death entry that seem to match x

You may also need to get the death cert. for Florence Oates. There are several on the 1911 census & she could be any one of them. She may not have married or been born in Staffs.

The 1909 marriage was in Loughborough and they were there in 1911.  Alfred had no middle initial on either the marriage entry or the 1911 but his birth reg shows him as Alfred Ernest b 1887 Burton.

Have you seen the 1939 entry?  There are 2 children shown born 1921 and 1923 whose births were registered as Bullock - mmn Williams.  Williams was the surname of the woman he married in 1934.

Looks like Alfred & Florence were apart from before 1921 but couldn't marry until Florence died

I wonder was she in a mental hospital?

Yes that's all correct Florence and Alfred's child was past onto an aunt around 1912  to look after.
think I will have to get the death cert for Florence Oates to see if it will tell me any more info

Appears to be (or was) a mental hospital called Belvedere House in Belvedere Rd Burton on Trent
