William Dawson Kay Currie b 3 Nov 1860 Leith
« on: Saturday 21 July 18 10:29 BST (UK) »
The above was the son of William Kay Currie and Margaret Dawson, he passed away 25 Mar 1917 as Chief Engineer on transport 'Breslau.' His widow was recorded as  Margaret A who lived at 32 Claremont Rd, Leith. However Margaret was his 2nd wife as both he and she were widowed before they married in 1910 at St Andrew Edinburgh.
I can't find who he was married to before and whether they had any children?

Thank you once again Sandra for your superb research. Although not too sure about Anc tree, as they've got most of it from another unsourced tree and they've got William's dod wrong.
Am wondering whether Adam Currie 1899 - 1900 and William Dawson Currie 1901 - 1961 were theirs as Helen was born 1858 and neither appear on the 1901 census of Scotland?

Hi, Scotland's People (index) is showing a will for William died Calais 1917. This may have details of children's married names, grandchildren etc.

Thank you Val, other than his 2nd wife Margaret, it only mentions 2 of his children.

Do you have his 2nd marriage in 1910 from Scotlands People. It should give the names of previous spouses of William and Margaret.

Also, the 1911 Scotland Census may give you more information.

Hope this helps.
