Looking for Dennis Dunn born Ireland

Jim 1 i have Dennis on 1841 census married to Catherine and on 1851 census to Mary Ann. Can't find him on 1861

Oh right so he married Catherine 1832 she died 1846 he married Ann the same year she died a year or so later then married Mary Ann in 1849. Think I will have to get all three certificates then. Sorry Jim 1 didn't realise Ann could be wife number 2. Blimey he got around.

Just looked at the 1846 death for Catherine Dunn and it gives her age as 20 that doesn't tie in with birth date  of 1811 i have for her

I have only quoted these significant names.

As Dennis is in 1851 with wife Mary Ann, there must have been another one who died in 1847.

There's a Dennis Dunn born late 1790's. He appears in 1841 only so the 1847 death is probably him.

Do you think he could also be the one who married Ann Gibson? Her first marriage seems to be the one in  1825 so she would be a similar age.

The other Dennis who married Catherine was a labourer. The 1847 marriage to Ann Gibson has him as a weaver so not the same Dennis, also the signatures are almost identical.

Dennis in 1851 is a Weaver too so you could be right!

Although Dennis who married Catherine was also a Weaver. There were a lot in Manchester then 

That marriage seems to be witnessed by a Dennis Dunn too - similar writing so perhaps Dennis signed twice.

To be of marriageable age in the 1840's there were 3 but 2 were labourers & at least one of those was illiterate. That leaves just the one belonging to the poster.
