The above was a daughter of William Thomas Curtis and Sophia Weymark (they had 6 children); she married Anton Contrucci (1901-1971)  26 Jun 1947 Niagara Falls, she passed away 10 Mar 1968 New York, USA and is buried at Clarence Centre Cemetery. Anton was married before to Margarete Schmidt but I cannot find a previous marriage for Bessie or did she just marry late?
Her sister, Helena Margaret Curtis b 31 May 1903 disappears after 1911? Another sister, Dorothy Ann Curtis b 18 Oct 1905 apparently married Unknown McMillen according to an Anc tree but I can find no record of her either after 1911 at 258 Alexander St, Peterborough?

She may have married late and if she had the same surname at marriage - Curtis - as birth she must have been a spinster.

There's a border crossing to Niagara Falls for a Bessie Sophia Curtis age 40 in 1941 so that infers she was still a spinster then.

Death for her given as 1983.

Spouse and children for Dorothy is marked as private.

Marriage license indicates  Bessie wasn't married (last name listed as Curtis).

Her obit gives her sisters married names.

The family will be present at the chapel of Calvary Episcopal Church, Cayuga and Milton St., Williamsville, Monday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The service will take place at Calvary Church Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock. Boyce Sprague who was mentioned in Helena's letter passed away between 1868 and 1974 -  Location Saint-Jean, Ontario. -  Electoral Dist - Timiskaming Ontario - according to Canada Voters Lists.
Helena was widowed in 1974.


Canada Voters List 1957 listed Helena Sprague as a newspaper woman - Boyce Sprague was a clerk.
