Looking for John and Jane Walker Swansea, St James, married 1858
« on: Tuesday 24 July 18 21:25 BST (UK) »
Hello,

Looking for birth details or any family details or information for my Gt Gt Grandparents John and Jane Walker.

John Walker (born about 1834 in Swansea).
Married Jane James (born about 1839 in Swansea).
Married 26/11/1858 Swansea, St James.

No other information known until birth of first child in 1860s.

Somehow they ended up in Belfast where they raised a family, worked and died.

Any information greatly appreciated.

How sure are you about John's birth? I've not found any trace so far apart from the marriage.

Oops! A silly mistype. 1834 is incorrect sorry.
John Walker Born about 1824.
Died age 63 on 15/9/1887 in Belfast.
Was a publican and oyster room keeper, shellfish merchant and spirit dealer.
3 children born in Belfast.
Have not been able to find other children’s births or infant deaths.

A relative has the Walker paperwork. The relative is currently on holiday. So I’m not sure how we thought he was born in Swansea.
