Ann DAINTY - Elusive Marriage 1830

Circa 1992 two polite postal enquiries, with SAEs, received no response from the incumbent of Barton-under-Needwood for a look-up for a marriage c1830 between John HOLMES and Ann DAINTY, for which I would happily have paid a fee. After years on the 'back-burner', imagine my delight when I recently encountered images on-line at FindMyPast:

Banns had been called at Barton-under-Needwood and Yoxall parishes but it appears on Ancestry there are some researchers who have risked hazardous guesses.

My response:  IGNORE the Ancestry guesses. 

The parish register entry clearly states the truth, and everyone signed the register, what more do you need? 

Not sure about the incumbent's response - but it was a long time ago

I personally don't need anything but it's evident that others do!    My time is too precious now to waste on correcting others' errors but as this platform has been useful for me in the past, it just might prove useful to others.

OK, it's after "wine o'clock" but I don't understand what your "problem" is    Your family is your concern, and you concentrate on what is CORRECT - what others see is their concern, let them get on with it
