Hello,
You have posted in ‘Ireland Resources’ rather than the general Ireland board - you could ask a moderator  to move your post.

What do you know about Peter? There is one in 1881 2831/25/48 living in the Walsall area. Is that him? There is a child with mmn Rush.

According to the 1876 marriage registration, Peter 'Durnian' was residing in Ballygreany (townland):
https://www.townlands.ie/monaghan/cremorne/clontibret/clontibret/ballygreany/

If you search for Ballygreany in Griffith's Valuation, it will return several occupiers called 'Durneen', the print date for that locality was 1860:
http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/index.xml?action=placeSearch

Just a possibility for a brother of Peter in the NLI RC registers for Clontibret parish, there is the following record for a Francis Durnian of 'Ballygraney' marrying a Mary McNally on 28 February 1865, critically, both parents were cited for Francis, namely John Durnian and Cath Mooney of 'Ballygraney' (no. 162 / 6th entry down from top):
