Hi I have hit a brick wall. I am looking for a Albert James Smith sometimes known as Albert. On his second marriage cert Hee married my Great Gran Emily Amelia Groom spinster aged 32 ( I have done this side) on 29 April 1913 Merton Surrey. it states he was a widower aged 40 occ  a Gardener, his father was Charles Smith deceased aocc a Road Inspector. At the time of marriage they were both living in the same address 34 Dorien Road Raynes Park Merton Surrey with Emily's family. I have his death cert which states he died on  the 29 Jan 1937 aged 34 at 33 High Path Merton stii listed as a gardener. They had 2 children Frank and Ellen Florence.
I cannot find a birth fo him nor anything about his Father. "Oh these common names"

So he was a widower aged 40 on remarriage in 1913, but only 34 when he died in 1937?

Typo perhaps - was he 63 at death? (Mar qtr 1937 Surrey NE, which covers Merton).

Hi all
 I have made a mistake Albert James Smith died 29 Jan 1937 aged 64. having looked at his Death cert again  he died Dorking , his home address was 33 High Path Merton.
