I can't seem to grasp the best way to address this query with all the different ways to approach it but I'll get there in the end.

Reg offices were only roughly 10 miles apart so people were within 5 miles of one and used to short 5 mile strolls!

People in Canada or Australia often had a decent 100 miles stroll to town!!

I so admire our Irish ancestors for the adversity they met head on and dealt with  on a day to day basis.

I don't mind a long walk but 100 miles would put me off big time.
