Did John Henry do a runner ?
« on: Saturday 28 July 18 14:59 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help with this , John Henry   was running pubs in the 1890s
In 1901 he is in Wellington, as a accountant and brewers agent

1891 Wrexham
John Henry Wilde  29 b Shropshire
 Emily Wilde  wife  28
 Wm E Wilde  3
 John H Wilde  1

1901 Wellington England
John Henry Wilde  39 b Shropshire
 Emily Wilde  38
 William Edwin Wilde  13
 Lily Wilde  8
 Thomas Herbert Wilde  6
 Frederick Arthur Wilde  5

Emily is still alive in Wellington 1911 saying she is married.  A daughter Frances Emily aged 9 is the only one with her. Emily  is thought to have died in 1912.

Now I found this on a family tree, Alice is Alice Boddington born 26/09/1865 England
Death 14/02/1948 Montréal Montréal , she may have been on the same passenger list as John Henry  in 1904 and 1910 but I can`t find her.

These seem to be the same children from the marriage to Emily   except Reginald who hasn`t been found.
1911 Canada  Census.
John Henry Wilde chef b Oct 1862
Alice b sep 1871
Thomas b  sept 1895
Frederick b sept 1896
Reginald b oct  1890
Lilian 1893

Did John Henry actually marry Alice , where was Reginald fit in. It`s quite intriguing.

Having now looked at it, I see that Reginald is Reginald Phillips in the 1911 Canada census - and his relationship to the head of household John Henry Wilde is “Aucune” (none).

Just spotted that Reginald arrived in Canada in 1909, the others in 1904, he is also English but I can`t find a birth.  Also I think now that chef is actually head of the house. This is the first census I`ve ever seen in  French .
