Lough Park, Castlepollard
« on: Tuesday 31 July 18 22:51 BST (UK) »
On my gt grandmother Bridget Murray’s birth certificate 11 July 1864 it gives the family address as Lough Park. Looking online I see a large 2 storey house showing as Lough Park (it appears to be between Castlepollard and Collinstown) As her father’s occupation is given as a labourer I am presuming he worked for the owners of the house. Does anybody have any history of the place and who lived there in the 1860s?
Thanks.

Near the town are also Turbotstown, the residence of Gerald Dease, Esq.;
Galstown, of Hubert de Bourgh, Esq.; Lough Park,
of N. Evans, Esq., beautifully situated on the shore of Lough Lane;

Thanks for that link Hallmark, much appreciated, and hopefully this can be moved to the correct section of the forum.

Loughpark is also a townland

There are a couple of houses to the left, maybe staff accommodation.
