Kennedys from Bovevagh Parish County Derry

Hi everybody

My great great grandfather Samuel Kennedy was born in 1870 in Bovevagh to parents John Kennedy and Eliza milligan / milliken. On the birth , john was a broom maker. However i believe i have found siblings of samuel , not through their birth records but through their marraige records.

William James Kennedy married Isabella Young 1885 - Williams father john was a "dealer" bovevagh.
William was also a "dealer" on the irish census. My Samuel was a dealer also and so was his son (my g grandfather)

Elizabeth Kennedy married Robert j brown 1884 - Elizabeth's father john dealer from bovevagh.

All of these kennedys were members of the church of ireland. I was wondering if anybody has any records for the church of ireland in bovevagh or know where i can access them? I am looking for johns marraige any another kennedy records that are earlier than those accessible online.

By the way , only 1 online death record from bovevagh is a man called William Kennedy from Bovevagh who was a weaver died aged 83 in 1882. MAYBE johns father??

Hi John,
I have just seen your post regarding your Kennedys, my great grandparents were William James Kennedy & Isabella Young.  I haven't really got any further back for a while due to family committments, but your post has stirred me up again.
My William was a listed as a soldier on the marriage cert and his Father a dealer.
Good to hear of someone researching the family as for many years I have never had any contact with anyone interested.
