Thomas Mahon b1854
« on: Friday 03 August 18 06:05 BST (UK) »
Hi, anybody able to help locate Thomas Mahon b1854, my great grand father, married Margaret Mulligan. All but one of their children were born at Glasgow Scotland. Looking to find Thomas' birth or baptism record. We think we have the correct Marriage at Ballymore in 1876, but we're not sure. On the MC the gggfather is Francis Mahon, and her father's name was John Mulligan.
With many thanks
Glyn

Was Thomas Mahon a chairmaker?   If so, you do indeed have the wrong couple.

There is only one Thomas Mahon bc.1854 Ireland, wife Margaret, living in Glasgow on census, and he is a chairmaker.

He and his wife did not marry in Ireland (nor was Margaret born in Ireland) - one of their children was a Janet H. bc.1880 Glasgow and birth was Janet Hamilton Mahon b.23/7/1879 Glasgow, parents Thomas Mahon and Margaret McLure married 1/1/1875 Beith, Ayrshire - their first child was a William b.1875 Beith, Ayrshire.
