Mary an Jane Lambert, Wolsingham
« on: Friday 03 August 18 15:26 BST (UK) »
My ancestors William and Margaret Lambert (nee Wren) had a daughter Mary born 1815 in Wolsingham. I can't find a death for her . I also found they had another daughter Mary born 1821 in Wolsingham. On the 1841 census their is no Mary and no death found. However they had a daughter Jane found on  1841 census. I found a death for her in 1843 aged 28 years, single in Wolsingham. It gives her birth as 1815 although no baptism or birth found. So I am wondering if the first Mary and Jane were twins.
I am wondering if anyone can help.

BAPTISMS;
St Mary and St Stephen, Wolsingham
MARY 31 Dec 1815
MARGARET 21 Jun 1818
MARY 04 Nov 1821
ELIZABETH 10 Oct 1824
WILLIAM WREN    10 Oct 1830, buried 02 Aug 1847 age 17
ELEANOR    03 May 1835
CHRISTOPHER 11 Nov 1836
Parents WILLIAM/MARGARET Lambert
Father a Labourer on most, Hind on one and by Christophers Bapt a Farmer.

JANE Lambert Bapt 13 Apr 1817 same Church to MARK/ANN
So Jane may be a relative of William/Margaret and although with them 1841 Census not their child possibly.

Thank you for taking the time to look for me. On the death it says for Jane born 1815 died 1843 aged 28 yrs single. Father William. Found on Family search. Can't find any deaths for both Mary's. I checked marriages for the 2nd Mary born 1821. She may have been working away from home but nothing found. They also had a daughter Rachel named after her maternal grandmother born 1827 but died in 1830 aged 3 years. Buried same day as her brother William Wren Lambert was baptised.  She comes after Elizabeth.  Once again thank you for your help it is very much appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to help. I seem to have hit a dead end on that but will keep coming back to it as Elizabeth was my great grandmother. So many thanks to you
