Plan for graveyard in Pentir Caernarvonshire?
« on: Saturday 04 August 18 21:42 BST (UK) »
Anyone know if there is a graveyard plan for graves at Pentir cemetery in Caernarvonshire ? I have details of 2 burials of a husband and wife in 1853 and 1881, and hoping to locate them when I visit in next few days. As yet no idea if there is a headstone, and if the graveyard is very large the location of graves would be a great help.
Thanks

Hi CaroleW
Yes I  think it might be judging by Google Earth. The records say Pentir chapel.

I thought when it said 71% photographed and 7 added that almost the whole churchyard had been "done"

Is it still open?   I can find lots of photos of it but none give a clue as to whether it's still in use or give a telephone number

No idea really I tried typing various common surnames such as Jones (besides the Roberts I am looking for), but nothing comes up, which makes me  think that very little has been done. I assume it's closed, anyway I'll find out late today. Thanks.
