Ann's age is a sliding scale.
On the 1884 marriage cert her (computed) birth year is 1854
It stays 1854 in 1891, 1901 and 1911
Her death in 1912 also has an age that computes to birth in 1854.
These are the years where I can be sure I am looking at the right Ann.
For the years where I am not certain but very confident:
Birth in 1852, HLS to James & Catherine
In 1861, age computes to birth in 1852
In 1871, age computes to birth in 1853
In 1871 she is a servant. It;s possible that the census was filled out by the house owner,
who may have looked at a register to obtain ages for the staff,
which might not have been modified since the staff were hired
and could easily be a year out of date.
After marriage, she may have had the attitude that she should not be older than her husband.
John Collinson was born in 1854.
