occupation translation from Hamburg passenger list
« on: Sunday 05 August 18 17:34 BST (UK) »
Hello!

I am hoping that someone will be able to translate this occupation from a 1910 Hamburg passenger list to NY.

Here is the link... https://www.ancestry.com/interactive/1068/K_1816_080575-0269/2360293?backurl=https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/person/tree/103525204/person/420026546354/facts/citation/1142037781231/edit/record

The passenger I am looking at is Frank HONIGMANN on page 2 and 19 up from the bottom.

Good luck,

Donna

Hello Donna and welcome to Rootschat!

It might be helpful if you posted a larger section of the page so that we can have a bit more writing with which to compare the occupation, if that's possible.

Thanks

It's something  (L.?) Arb. (worker).

Many of the entries seem to have the same occupation, so possibly a common occupation, such as Labourer, or Agricultural worker.

**edit
The ancestry transcription gives it as Landarbeiter, so, Labourer.
