The problem with researching in Walgrave is that it had a Baptist Church really early
.Makes research difficult when the ancestors didn't baptise their children. Like most of mine.
I have a York interest in Walgrave, Mary born about 1755, married first Richard Hills, then William Barrett.

I knew that maybe we would have a link Marilyn ?.

If your William is the son of Richard with a brother John Woolston then his daughter married
into my family in her later life.

Also have Waldens, Deacons from the village.

Edited should have said William son of John and brother Richard. Sorry.

Well Sandy, I think most folk with Walgrave links will be connected to me somehow!
My Walgrave families are

DEACON
BARRETT/BARRITT
DUNMORE
BLAXLEY/BLAKESLEY
BARKER

Mary YORK - I don't whether she was a Walgrave lass or not.

The Dunmores and Blaxleys were C of E but the rest were usually Baptists.
Moses Deacon and his father Phillip were Baptist ministers in the 18th c

How do you think we might be connected Sandy?

Hi Marilyn I have been looking at the Family Trees on Anc**** and there is letter you wrote to some one re: the Barritt Family.

My link is through Mary Ann Barritt who married Alfred Collins (Collings) and lived at Hannington.

No one seems to have her marriage to my relative after Alfred died.

Xinia I have a lot of graves from Walgrave Cem and Church (hardly any) if you need anyone.

Okay I have just checked the tree I was looking at and if your William was born 1765 he had a brother Richard born 1778 and it his son John Woolston Barritt 's born 1813, daughter Mary Ann who is my link.
