If you look at the Census Summary Books on Ancestry - Buckinghamshire - Fenny Stratford - District 12 - image 12 of 19.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!
If you don't ask the question, you won't get an answer.

I've found the household schedule on Anc, and it says it isn't indexed; I assume this is why you're not finding it via search. I found it fairly easily on FindMyPast, then used the detail to browse the correct part of the record set on Anc. Didn't take too long at all. Hopefully FS will give you the same route in.

My main thought was that Philip might want the achievement of locating the record himself, having been given a helping hand, which is why I didn't expand on my description above. I assumed if he was struggling, he'd get back to us.

As for the issue of providing 1911 census information, my understanding is that we can't do it for copyright reasons. In this case, where Philip already has a paid subscription to a site that provides the information, I guess it wouldn't be inappropriate to provide a LINK to the correct individual record. This wouldn't be a copyright issue because no transcription would be involved and the link could only be used in conjunction with a subscription.

Am refraining from posting the link right now in case Philip wants to find it himself and/or to allow a mod the opportunity to comment on my viewpoint above.

Many thanks to everyone for the help.

It does annoy me that Anc**** has such a poor search engine!

Still, now the problem's solved - onwards and upwards.  :)
