Above DOB 4/10/1876 in Appledore, Devon.
Parents - father  Henry BENNETT - DOB about 1848 - mother Ann Day WOOD - DOB about 1841. I have failed to trace subject on the 1891 and 1901 Census. He eventually moved to Swansea, West Glamorgan - his 1st marriage "no trace" - his 2nd marriage my grandmother Rebecca JONES who was also married previously to a "DUNCAN"  - marriage recorded  between BENNETT/DUNCAN in Swansea 1923.  Any help would be gratefully received - many thanks Anne LewIs.

If you look at the 1911 Census William Bennett and Rebecca Jones are living together as a married couple.

I cant post details as 1911 look-ups are not allowed on here.

I suggest you look for;

Violet I Bennett born 1901 Swansea on 1911 Census

Her Birth Reg GRO Index
BENNETT, VIOLET  ISABEL, Mothers mn JONES*****
GRO Reference: 1906  J Quarter in SWANSEA  Volume 11A  Page 1110

It is possible they both left their 1st spouses and were not free to marry one another until later.

Ooops just realised you likely have 1911 Census and its 1901 for William you need. He wont be married then as marriage was reg last qtr of 1901.

There is a possible 1904 Marriage on FreeBMD Swansea;
Rebecca JONES/Thomas DUNCAN on same page

May be a long shot but 1901 Census has a William SMITH born c 1876 Barnstaple, Devon, Dock Labourer, Single, living in Swansea.
