George Thomas
« on: Thursday 09 August 18 11:06 BST (UK) »
Just had all my research data destroyed by burglary/vandalism and need help to start all over again.

Looking for a Thomas family living (I believe) in Aughton Street, Liverpool circa 1869.

Have them in Ivy Street/Bloom Street in 1911 but that is as far back I can go at the moment.

If someone can help it will be the start of the long road forward.

I believe he was a carpenter, born in Caernarvonshire, with wife Catherine (?) who he married in Liverpool. I believe he would be about 27/28 in 1861.  Had son called Arthur born (I believe) in 1869. Having to rely on memory for details.

Thanks so much for that Marj. Didn't know I could retrieve posts. Only problem is I can't find the 'By user' button. Where is it?

the only George and Catherine I can find having children that is a Carpenter / Joiner in the right time frame - if it is your George
George Thomas married Catherine Jones at St David church ,Liverpool 1858 - on www.lancashirebmd.org.uk
www.freebmd.org.uk has the marriage as September qtr

Thank you Rootschatters for your help. I am eternally grateful. Now all I have to do is find George Thomas and family in Aughton Street, Liverpool in 1861/1871 and I can start over again.

Again thank you everybody.
