Thank you for that, I found that Agnes in death notices but thought it was the wrong Agnes' as they have her birth date as her marriage date -1908 - I should know by now not to trust dates!

I will look into the archway records.  I suspect though that this is all a wild goose chase again and James Pollock McFarlane is exactly who he is and not been adopted later.

Agnes was born in 1872 and died 1967 and yes I have Brown's death 1986.

Just wondering if Agnes' full name was Agnes Patrick Pollock as this looks to be her birth  :-\

Hi, Yes it is, some records are Patrick others are Pollock.  She notes on her records she was born in Springburn.  She has given James her maiden name as his middle one.

She notes on her records she was born in Springburn.

It's quite possible the family moved from Dennistoun to Springburn when she was a child & assumed she was born there as they're next door to one another?
