Hi janine

You could try the Clare Library website, local libraries can sometimes be the best place to start

http://www.clarelibrary.ie

there is an email address given on the 'Contact Us' link on the website, someone at the library should be able to give you some details for Bridgetown or put you in touch with some locals, also the Genealogy section on the website has a number of records online like directories and census records etc that you can search

Good luck with the search

Hi

It may be worth posting your ancestors names, in addition a brief description of the information you require.  A lot of helpful folk use this website its likely you will get an answer in a very short time.

Bridgetown is listed as a town land on this site http://www.thecore.com/seanruad/
but not on Griffith's Valuation.
http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/index.xml?action=nameSearch
or the OSI Mapviewer. http://maps.osi.ie/publicviewer/#V1,591271,743300,0,10
It is however listed as a locality on the MapViewer, cross reference that with the maps on Ask About Ireland it appears to be included in the townland of Clonboy.
There is one Patrick Hartigan listed in Clonboy in Griffith's Valuation, print date 1852.  Unfortunatly the map on Ask About Ireland doesn't quite match the one used for Griffith's Valuation originally so difficult to see if he is living in Bridgetown but as he has no land and his neighbours also don't have land it's likely he's in Bridgetown.
Hope that helps.

http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/placenames/

I entered "Clonboy" in placename search refined to Co Clare in this link.

Bridgetown is the Registrars district.
