Armstrong/Buck - Cockfield, Durham

Hi,

I'm trying to research my family tree but have got stuck on some bits as i don't have any relatives to ask for more info. I'm looking for any Bucks or Armstrongs that were born in the Cockfield/Darlington area of Durham from 1900's onwards. I have some but not all.
My great, great, great grandmother was Vashti Armstrong who married a Robert Buck. Together they had 12 children;

Agnes 1899-1960
Mary Elizabeth 1901-1970
William 1903-1959
Vashti 1906-1961
Eva 1907-1929
Norah 1909-1986
Annie 1911-2005
Alice 1913-1967
John Jack 1915-1994
Hilda 1918-1991
Robert 1921-2001
Olga 1923-1945

Dates may be give or take a few years but i'm pretty sure they're accurate. I'm looking for any descendants of theirs :-)

Have you checked freebmd for marriages for the children?

If you use freebmd to search for Bowman births with a mothers maiden name of Buck you will find possibly 10 children born up to 1943

Dear Natashasianx,
Which side of the family are you related to? Are they your maternal or paternal side?
Have you managed to go any further back? Have you been up to Cockfield and had a look in the cemetery Also if you look on BMD you can find the GRO numbers. Durham County Record office is also very useful.
