Frank james b1917 cardiff?
« on: Sunday 12 August 18 10:34 BST (UK) »
Hi,

Am trying to trace any info on my great uncle Frank James b.1917-? in cardiff. Brother of Edward, Margaret and Florence. His parents were Alfred 1872-1930 and Edith Rachel 1876-1940. He went to war in WW2 possibly RAF and we have no more info. We think he returned to Cardiff after the war and fell out with his siblings. Any help appreciated.

Regards

Gareth

Service records for any personnel serving in the Armed Forces after 1920 are still with the MOD.

See: https://www.gov.uk/get-copy-military-service-records
You will need his death certificate, and there is a fee of £30.

If you don't know when he died you won't be able to get service records.

Have you checked the 1939 register to see if he is still at home.  To locate a death you probably need his exact birth date.

Thanks for the replies. I can’t find him on the 1939 register, he disappears. I have ordered his birth certificate to get the exact birth date.

I see you already have several posts about Frank including another one today. It is not a good idea to post more than once with a question as it causes duplication of replies.
