E-mail query
« on: Sunday 12 August 18 13:49 BST (UK) »
Yesterday morning I e-mailed a friend information re a TV programme I thought she'd be interested in. Although there was no need for her to reply, I did think she would.

I switched off my phone around 11 last night having had no e-mails during the day but when I switched on this morning there were two from yesterday, including one from my friend timed at 10.42 yesterday morning.

Does anyone have any explanation for this?

No.... but i once did an online exam and it took 6 weeks to arrive in Tutor's email.

The tutor asked me to do it again... I refused as Tutor was sitting beside me when I sent it!!

It arrived eventually 6 weeks later dated when Sent!   ;D ;D

Gosh, at least my email wasn’t important.

It does niggle though, wondering why.

Perhaps that explains why someone I'm certain I e-mailed best part of a week back was puzzled he'd not received it? We can't think of any other reason.

Try clicking on  >view> message> raw source or default headers.   That should give you an idea of the routing and timing of the message.

The receiver can do that once they've received it... if they wanted. The route hasn't been completed yet and no one knows which Satellite will be the last to receive it prior to going to recipient.
