Dorset Family History Society’s Monthly Meeting
« on: Sunday 12 August 18 14:51 BST (UK) »
Dorset Family History Society will be meeting on Monday 8th October 2018 at St John’s Church Centre Hall, Ashley Road (opposite Waitrose), Upper Parkstone, Poole, BH14 0AA.

Doors open at 19.30 for 20.00 start.  Entry is £2 to include refreshments.

JANE FOX will be giving a talk on ‘FRANK NORMAN FOX’

Following on from Jane’s last successful talk with us we have invited her back with a case study to tie in with the anniversary of the end of WW1. Using a study of Frank Norman Fox the talk traces and interprets records relating to those who served in the army in WW1. Documents discussed include those relating to the awarding of Medals, Service records, War diaries, Memorials, POW’s and Newspapers. Jane will guide us towards what information can be found in these and, importantly, how to go about locating those all important records and then using them in research.

Jane is a professional Genealogist who runs courses and helps people in their research of family history, and is also a talented artist and craftsperson.

EVERYONE WELCOME
